Hand made soap is a very good way to pamper your skin? Not only is it very gentle and mild to your skin, it is good for the environment as well. Like your grandmother's or great grandmother's lye soap, hand crafted all natural soap uses the same chemical process only using enough lye to create saponification. Once this chemical process is complete there is no lye remaining. Left is a completely luxurious soap to pamper your skin. What makes hand made soap, or as it is also called home made soap, so special is glycerin. When we make hand made soap we create natural glycerin that attracts moisture to your skin. Only the best ingredients are used to create our all natural soap. One-third of our soap recipe is made up of super moisturizing olive oil and coconut oil. So you can pamper yourself and be good to the planet as well by using hand made soap.
At Southern Pine Soaps we make our soap in small batches using the cold process method. After saponification we unmold the loaf and hand cut each bar to approximately 4.5 ounces each; then it cures for at least 4 weeks.
